Ceoltóirí Canóla is an all-female Barbershop Quartet from Donegal, Ireland. Their name means “singers of Canóla,” inspired by the ancient Irish goddess of music.
Formed in late 2023 after singing together in Danu Young Women’s Choir, the quartet quickly found their voice in the Barbershop world. They made their debut at the IABS Open Youth Contest 2023, where they were delighted to take home first place, and returned the following year to win the IABS National Quartet Competition.
The group is made up of Alice O’ Connor (Tenor), Sadbh Breathnach (Lead), Síne Ní hAodha (Bass), and Katie Coyle (Baritone) – each bringing their own unique musical background and energy to the ensemble.
In their short time together, Ceoltóirí Canóla has performed throughout Ireland and internationally, steadily building their presence on the Barbershop scene. They recently marked a major milestone with their first self-hosted concert. Now, they are honoured and thrilled to represent Ireland at the Next Generation Varsity Quartet Contest at the Barbershop Harmony Society’s International Convention in Denver, and look forward to experiencing the inspiration, camaraderie, and shared passion that defines the international Barbershop community.
