Lady Barbalade are Irish Association of Barbershop Singers female quartet champions. The four ladies, Hilary Harnett, Becky Gilbert, Clare Hayes-Brady and Ailbhe Hayes, have been devoted to Barbershop singing and fabulous dresses since their formation in 2015. They have competed at home and abroad in both Barbershop and Choral contests, and have toured with The Newfangled Four and Midtown. The ladies look forward to welcoming many other fantastic quartets and choruses to Ireland in the future.
Lady Barbalade were honoured to be the first Irish quartet invited as guests to the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers convention, and the first Irish quartet to compete at Sweet Adelines. In July 2023 Lady Barbalade will represent Ireland as the first ever Irish quartet to compete at the Barbershop Harmony Society International Convention.
